Dr. Dennis R. Pietrini
Dr.
Dennis R. Pietrini is an experienced and well-trained
dentist, who has been working in the dental profession
for more than thirty-two years. He attended the
University of Illinois and Elmhurst College before
he went on to study dentistry. In 1970, he earned
his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University
of Illinois College of Dentistry. Dr. Pietrini
then served two years active duty in the United
States Navy Dental Corps. In 1972, he began private
practice in River Grove, Illinois. Six years later,
he moved his practice to its present location
in Franklin Park, Illinois.
As an
active member of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital for
the past thirty-two years, he has served as the Chairman
of the Department of Oral Medicine on three separate
occasions, as a member of the Credentials Committee
for eighteen years and is currently the Chairman
of the Laser Safety Committee. He is a member
of the American Dental Association, the Illinois
State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.
In 1991, he was awarded a fellowship in the Academy
of General Dentistry. He is the Past President
of the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He was awarded
a Mastership certificate in 1993 and was certified
as a Laser Educator in 1998. He is also the cofounder
and Past President of the Midwest Dental Laser
Study Club.
Dr.
Pietrini is a pioneer in the field of Laser dentistry,
who co-authored Curriculum Guidelines and Standards
for Dental Laser Education in 1993 and aided
in the revision of the guidelines in 1998. He
is an approved course provider for the Academy
of Laser Dentistry's Standard Proficiency Course.
He has been involved in training and certification
of healthcare professionals throughout the United
States and from more than thirty foreign countries.
He has been a frequent speaker on "high-tech
dentistry" at dental meetings both locally
and nationally. Dr. Pietrini is listed in "Who's
Who in Dentistry".
Dr.
Pietrini and his wife, Elaine have been married
for thirty-four years and have two married daughters.
Due to his dedication to family, his profession
and the community, in 1998, Dr. Pietrini was honored
as the Italian Cultural Center's Man of the Year,
and in 2001, he was inducted into the Leyden High
School Wall of Fame. As of 2003-04, he was
elected as a chairmen of Casa-Italia.
Dr. Christine E. Tropinski
Dr.
Christine E. Tropinski is an experienced and well-trained
dentist who has been an associate with Franklin
Park Dental Associates since 1990. Dr. Tropinski
attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree
in Dental Hygiene. In 1990 she received her Doctorate
in Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa
Dental School.
Dr.
Tropinski is an elected member of Sigma Pi Alpha
a dental hygiene honor society. She is also a
member of the following organizations: the American
Dental Association (ADA), the Illinois State Dental
Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the Midwest
Dental Laser Study Club. She holds a Standard
Proficiency certificate from the Academy of Laser
Dentistry.
Dr.
Tropinski and her husband have three children.
She practices all phases of dentistry for both
adults and children. Dr. Tropinski especially
enjoys treating children and has developed a special
rapport with all of her patients.
